History
La naissance de La Société historique du Saguenay commence avec Victor Tremblay et Joseph-Edmond Duchesne. Deux prêtres du Séminaire de Chicoutimi, ayant un profond intérêt pour l’histoire de la région, fondèrent ensemble en 1934 cet organisme de rassemblement et de conservation du patrimoine du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. Celle-ci a pour devise ''Pour l’avenir, je parle du passé''. Sa mission aujourd'hui comprend la recherche, l’acquisition, le traitement et la conservation d’archives privées.
